About

Charles D. Mills, Ph.D.

I am a fully licensed psychologist with a background in both clinical and educational psychology.

I graduated with my doctorate degree from Wayne State University in 1984. I’m a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi. For my Practicum, I worked at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

In addition to my practice, I have provided services as a supervising psychologist at Wayne Center, a large state agency providing case management services for the developmentally disabled, and at Perspectives of Troy, a large clinic providing Christian counseling services for children, teens, and adults.

Additionally, I have experience as a school psychologist with several school districts including the Ecorse Public Schools where I also served as the Interim Director of Special Education. I also served on the committee which developed the guidelines for the determination of Learning Disability in Wayne County, Michigan.

I have taught at Macomb Community College and have provided workshops on a wide range of topics with groups including CHADD, the National Resource on ADHD, and Parenting with Love and Logic.

My primary focus over the past four decades has always been my psychology practice. I have been affiliated with clinics, group practice, and partnerships in Clinton Township, Troy, and Sterling Heights. I have especially enjoyed working with adults, couples, teens, and children at my private practice in Lake Orion over the most recent years. I am grateful for the opportunity to offer confidential virtual therapy sessions providing a wide range of psychological services for adults and elders utilizing a private HIPAA compliant portal.
